Strategic Committees
The Strategic Committees of the LAA Board are established under the bylaws to support the work of the organization. Board committees are typically chaired by a member of the board. Committee chairs report to the board at regular board meeting, and workplans, goals and budget (if any) are approved annually by the board.
Volunteering for a standing committee is a great way to get to know the work of the LAA and the broader library community. Many board members have begun their association work as a member of an LAA standing committee. Many committees accept volunteers, and LAA members are welcome to contact us if they wish to volunteer.
