TYPE OF COMMITTEE:
STANDING COMMITTEE as established by the Library Association of Alberta bylaws.
GENERAL PURPOSE:
To ensure the LAA has an election for each vacant position on the Board.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contact potential candidates for Board positions
- Contact LAA members and ask them to nominate individuals as candidates for Board positions.
- Approve the ballot with a slate of candidates sent to the membership for election by e-mail in advance of the AGM
- Establish deadlines annually in accordance with LAA bylaws
COMPOSITION AND APPOINTMENT:
- Co-chaired by the Past President and the 1st Vice President
- Other members as required from the current Board
