Join the Board

Becoming a board member is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on LAA and the Alberta library community.

The LAA Bylaw outlines the makeup of the LAA Board of Directors and term lengths. Board roles and terms are designed to ensure the optimal functioning of the Board and continuity year to year.

Nominations take place every spring for all vacant positions. In order to run for a Board role and vote for nominees, you must be a member of LAA. Elected Board members take over their roles at the annual AGM (Annual General Meeting), typically held in May or June.

LAA members will receive information about elections via our newsletter each spring. If you have questions about joining the LAA Board, feel free to contact us.
